Our Operating Area

BMCT is mandated to operate in Bwindi Mgahinga Conservation Area (BMCA) housed in the three districts of Rubanda, Kisoro and Kanungu but bordering DRC and Rwanda. The BMCA area consist of three main natural forest (Mgahinga, Bwindi Impenetrable and Echuya), of which BMCT mandate focuses on Mgahinga and Bwindi. Geographically, the BMCT is mandated to work in parishes bordering the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and MGNP although, there are intervention especially targeting the Batwa and others based on donor requirements that fall outside the geographical area.
