Sustainable land management.
Well demonstrated slopes of sustainable land management as seen at BMCT’s SLM demonstration site at Rwabataha hill kisoro district. BMCT has set up two similar sites in Ndego and Kitahurira, Rubanda district for communities around these areas which area severely affected by soil erosion to learn and replicate in their different areas. Trenches stablized with calliandra or elephant grass have proven to be an effective method of curbing soil erosion.
